Job Description:
Identify external design consultant and ensure closure of contract
- Brief potential consultants
- Evaluate various consultant quotes and finalise consultant along with management
- Freeze terms and conditions of the contract
- Give a detailed brief to the consultant, visit site along with consultant to clarify expectations (including landscape consultant)
- Finalise work order with a local structural consultant
Finalize concept design & schematic design
- Liase with external architect and international structural consultant
- Liase with interiors in case schematic involves interiors as well
- Finalise sales specifications along with MD
- Provide inputs on local specifications to international consultant
Provide marketing inputs and collaterals to sales
- Create content for all marketing collateral
- Liase with interiors and landscape for their inputs on the look
Supervise the Design Development
- Track & monitor preparation of final working drawings/construction drawings by consultants & structural design prepared by external consultant
- Take external consultants and internal department inputs from engineering, interiors, etc
- Ensure that the construction drawings and structural drawing are in sync with each other
- Issue the drawings to site
Direct and guide draughtsmen for preparation of various drawings e.g Mivan drawings for shutters, line out drawings on site, working drawings, etc.
Perform the role of a people manager for subordinates
- Manage and support recruitment, set KRA's for direct reports, monitor overall department KRA's, conduct performance appraisal
- Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the team, monitor staff welfare and facilitate complaint resolution, manage efficiency levels and drive timely delivery of all operational targets
