Job Description:
- Flair for design & awareness of current trends in the design & construction industry
- Design & project-running experience in medium to large-scale projects (preferably healthcare & hospitality projects)
- Able to design, coordinate & lead a project team with minimum supervision
- Able to plan & schedule all design deliverables activities within allocated project timeframe
- Good client-consultants-contractors coordination experience
- Sound knowledge of architectural systems, technology, materials, etc.
- Good ‘knowledge’ of various engineering (SMEP) systems
- Knowledge of building regulations/bylaws/development control rules
- Experience in the preparation & coordination of municipal approval drawings, tender drawings, construction drawings & schedules
- Able to liaise effectively with relevant government regulatory authorities
- Aware of building (safety) codes and standards
- General awareness of current construction costs
- Knowledge of tender documentation process
- Able to provide outline architectural specifications to Specifications Writer & Quantity Surveyor
- Sensitivity to local context, practices & operational requirements, project budget limitations & other project/site specific situations
- Able to provide technical guidance to junior staff
