Job Description:
The position entails understanding requirements, planning and scheduling the architectural activities on the project. The role can involve extensive inter-disciplinary and client interactions. Additionally, the position will be required to support various other tasks as assigned by the Project Lead including design, preparation of SOQs, procurement, construction of project facilities and their related ancillary features. Position requires the ability to ascertain architectural judgment in the selection, evaluation, and application of architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Lead a team of junior architects and designers to carry out architectural activities on the project such as Conceptualization of buildings, Architectural Design basis, drawings, details, specifications and material requisitions.
Perform architectural evaluations, studies, analyses, and documentation.
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and material requisitions.
Prepare design change packages and assist in the development of work packages.
Assist in the development of scopes of work or other technical exhibits for Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) for subcontracts or work releases issued under existing blanket agreements.
Assist in the development of cost estimates for planned work and in the review of cost proposals form vendors and/or subcontractors.
Provide architectural support for during the construction phase of the project.
Assist in providing oversight for subcontractors providing professional services such as construction quality assurance.
Review contractor architectural submittals. Interface with field engineers and contractors on all buildings contracts to develop coordinated architectural finishes shop drawings.

Desired Candidate Profile:
B Arch / M Arch. with 7+ years experience in a Consulting / Engineering (EPC environment) pertaining to Industrial / Chemical / Oil & Gas sectors.
Good knowledge of key National / International industry building Codes and Standards (e.g., NBC, IBC etc.)
Working knowledge of software including AutoCAD, Microstation etc. Knowledge of 3d software’s such as Bentley Architecture shall be an added advantage.
